MAKE THE MOST OF EVERY DRIVE

As a battery electric vehicle, the RZ’s driving range and charging time will vary due to different factors.

RANGE FACTORS

The range you experience may differ from what’s shown on the Multi-Information Display (MID). Like other Lexus vehicles, RZ predicts expected range based on your recent driving and may not accurately predict actual range if your driving pattern changes.Vehicle range is impacted by a variety of factors, so please plan ahead and avoid letting your charge get too low. CHARGING TIME

One key factor that affects DC Fast Charging3 is weather. As temperatures decrease, DC charging time will increase. As temperatures drop below freezing, this increase can be significant.Charging time will also increase if multiple DC Fast Charging sessions are conducted within the same day, regardless of the weather. Level 1 and 2 charging speeds will not be affected. FAQs

  • WHAT ARE THE DIFFERENT TYPES OF ELECTRIFIED VEHICLES?

Lexus offers three types of electrified vehicles: hybrid, plug-in hybrid, and all-electric (referred to as Battery Electric, Battery EVs, BEVs, or simply EVs) .

  • WHY DRIVE AN ELECTRIC VEHICLE?

All-electric vehicles can offer drivers convenience, potential savings, and can help the environment by reducing CO2 emissions. They’re also fun to drive, courtesy of the immediate torque response from the electric motors, DIRECT4 all-wheel drive technology, as well as the smooth acceleration and quiet cabin.

All-electric vehicles can also be conveniently charged at home, overnight and on-demand, as well as at public charging stations when out and about. No more trips to the gas station required. In addition to fuel savings, drivers may also be able to enjoy a state tax credit, as well as the potential long-term maintenance savings typical of an all-electric powertrain.6

Of course, an all-electric Lexus is designed to provide owners even more. In addition to the driver-inspired craftsmanship, attention to detail and intuitive technology that have always set Lexus apart, every electrified Lexus is supported by an expansive dealer network that’s world-renowned for its unrivaled care and unparalleled expertise.

  • WHAT IS THE ALL-ELECTRIC VEHICLE DRIVING EXPERIENCE LIKE?

Thanks to the use of electric motors instead of internal combustion engines, all-electric vehicles provide smooth acceleration, immediate torque response and a surprisingly quiet ride experience.

  • HOW FAR WILL AN ALL-ELECTRIC VEHICLE GO?

The driving range of an all-electric vehicle will vary depending on how/where you drive, charging habits, accessory use, outside temperature and other factors. Battery capacity also decreases with time and use, which will reduce range.

  • WHAT CAN IMPACT DRIVING RANGE?

Gradual acceleration, flat terrain, and even pre-conditioning the temperature of your Lexus while it’s plugged in can potentially have a positive effect on driving range. However, please note that all-electric driving range may decrease significantly depending on speed, outside temperature, accessory use, how/where you drive, charging habits and other factors. Battery capacity also decreases with time and use, which will reduce range.

1 Charging time may be longer using standard 120V outlet. Always plug in/charge vehicle in accordance with Owner’s Manual

2 Charging time provided is an estimate only and can vary depending on weather conditions and other factors. Use for comparison purposes only. Actual range will vary significantly depending on charging and driving conditions, including outside temperature, speed, accessory use, how/where you drive, battery condition and other factors. See www.fueleconomy.gov and Owner’s Manual for details.

3 DC charging time will vary based on weather and other factors. DC charging times will increase as temperatures decrease, with significant increases possible at temperatures below freezing. DC Fast Charging should be limited to three sessions per day, regardless of the weather. After three 10-80% charge sessions, DC Fast Charging over the next day may take longer and be less effective. Accessory use, battery level and condition, and charger specifications also can negatively affect charging times.

4 Charging time may be longer using standard dedicated GFCI 120V (NEMA 5-15) outlet. Always plug in/charge vehicle in accordance with Owner’s Manual.
